Ship Thruster Preventive Care

Reduce wear and risk of leakage with our ABCON MARINE-THRUSTER+ in your system – proven to decrease the maintenance cost of your vessels.

THRUSTER+ Benefits

THRUSTER+ is hydraulic oil and Teflon-based paste, which creates a Teflon layer on all surfaces, thereby, reduces the risk of leakages. It is extremely protective against wear on bearings and seals. ABCON MARINE-THRUSTER+ has successfully demonstrated a reduction in wear resulting in a doubling of the overhaul intervals.

Bio Based Version

The product is also available in EAL (Environmental Acceptable Lubricant) versions

with both saturated and unsaturated ester. They all comply with the 2013 EPA VGP requirements as environmentally acceptable. For more information about our Bioproducts click here.

The product is easy to handle and can be applied by the staff onboard the vessel.

Blends Perfectly

When blended with the existing system oil, the blend constitutes excellent lubrication, which due to the Teflon content, maintains the lubricating effect on rubber seal surfaces and on mating metal surfaces even during standstill. In case of longer periods of standstill, the Teflon protects the seals/shafts from running warm at start-up, thereby, reducing the risk of damage. If you have saltwater in the hydraulic oil, THRUSTER+ will provide a substantial safety margin as Teflon maintains the lubrication properties even in saltwater.
